Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with us - we hope you will enjoy your stay. The following terms and conditions apply to your booking. They form the terms of a legally binding contract between you as the guest and Outrun Nook Barn. Please read the following conditions of let carefully, and ask for an explanation of any point that may be unclear to you.

 

Covid Cancellations

If due to enforced Government national or regional lock downs you are unable to travel to the barn or we are unable to offer this service we will provide a full refund. If you (or a member of your party) feel unwell, display symptoms of Covid and/or test positive for Covid and are required to self isolate, thus preventing you from travelling to the barn, we will not be able to provide a refund.

 

Prices

The price of the accommodation includes the following: Linen, hot water, central heating and electricity. VAT is included in the rental fee. If VAT rates change, Outrun Nook Barn reserves the right to amend prices accordingly.

Towels and Linen

All bed linen, towels and kitchen towels are supplied. Cots are only supplied with mattresses. All baby bedding and linen must be provided by You.

Sceptic Tank

Because the property is served by a bio digester sewage plant, which is damaged by biological detergents, the Owner will provide appropriate washing up liquid, dishwasher and washing machine powders/liquids for reasonable use. You must ensure that only toilet paper is put down the toilet.

Facilities

All facilities at the barn are strictly reserved for the use of our guests. Guests’ visitors may use the facilities only with the specific approval of Outrun Nook Barn. Any of the on-site facilities may be withdrawn from use in the event of any circumstances which deem the facilities unsafe or present any risk to health and safety. The facilities will be withdrawn in the event of any misuse or failure to comply with rules and procedures.

 

Pets

Well-behaved pets are permitted by prior arrangement in Outrun Nook Barn at an additional cost of £25 per pet/per stay. As dogs can cause a nuisance to people without them, we ask you to keep your pet under control at all times. Pets must not be left unattended for long periods in your accommodation and are not allowed on chairs or in the bedroom. All dog waste must be collected immediately, double bagged and deposited in the outside black wheelie bin. Remember to bring plastic bags for this purpose with you.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in Outrun Nook Barn.

Deposit

A deposit is payable on booking. The balance of the holiday cost is payable 56 days prior to the holiday commencement date. If the reservation is made less than 56 days in advance of the holiday commencement date, the full holiday cost is payable on booking. Please note that bookings from persons under 18 years of age cannot be accepted.

Cancellation and Insurance

By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable. If you cannot take your holiday and the booking cannot be re-let, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. If we do succeed in re-letting the barn, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid it, less a £20 administration fee (plus VAT). Please note that your deposit is not refundable under any circumstances. We advise that you take out separate holiday cancellation insurance to cover this cost.

The number of persons occupying the barn must not exceed the number booked. Outrun Nook Barn reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed. We hope that Outrun Nook will provide a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Outrun Nook Barn owners reserve the right to decline accommodation to, or expel, any occupier or visitor for conduct, which in the opinion of the owner, is detrimental to the property or to the comfort of guests. The owner reserves the right to access at all times.

The Holiday Property must not be used except for the purposes of a holiday by You and Your Party during the Holiday Period and not for any other purpose or longer period.

Non-availability of Accommodation

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In this circumstance, we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund. The Owner cannot accept responsibility for any material loss, damage, additional expense or inconvenience directly or indirectly caused by or arising out of the property, its plumbing, water supply, heating, electrical services or exceptional weather.

Arrival

Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your accommodation. Entry to Outrun Nook will be with a key which is retained in a security box on the site. This will be accessible via a security code which will be sent to you prior to arrival.

Key

You must return the keys to the key safe on departure. If you lose a Key we will replace it upon you paying the reasonable costs of having the replacement.

​

Adverse Weather

No liability can be accepted should adverse weather conditions delay your travel plans, no liability can be accepted should adverse weather conditions affect public roads and your access to the Holiday Property.

Departure

Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of departure. (We have a limited time to prepare the property for the next guests and you are asked to respect this).

​

Customer Service

Please let us know straight away if there is something not working in Outrun Nook Barn or if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable – do not wait until you leave to tell us. This means we can fix and/or put something right straight away.

​

Damages and Breakages

Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may charge for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. You are expected to leave the accommodation and its contents in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning. You are legally bound to reimburse Outrun Nook Barn for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.

Outrun Nook Barn Duty of Care

In the rare event of a breakdown in a particular service or item where possible a repair/replacement shall be found/fitted within 72 hours where possible. Outrun Nook Barn cannot be held liable for any loss arising from loss of use of the service/item within the specified time limit.

Liability

The guest or member of his/her party cannot hold Outrun Nook Barn responsible for injury sustained or the loss or damage to any belongings during their stay at Outrun Nook Barn. The proprietors accept no liability for accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any residents, their family, visitors, animals, vehicles or personal effects however caused, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment. You must take all necessary steps to protect and safeguard your personal property. Lost Property: There is a minimum of £5 + postage charge to post any items that you have left behind. Please ensure everything is taken home with you.

​Privacy Policy

Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer. With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party.

​

Access by Owner

​You are required to allow the owner to access Outrun Nook Barn at all reasonable times and in the case of emergency at all times with or without You or Your Party being present to enable maintenance work to be carried out and to enable the Owner comply with all relevant statutory requirements and the requirements of all regulatory bodies to which the Owner belongs relating to the Holiday Property.

Compensation

We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where Outrun Nook Barn is frustrated in circumstances amounting to force majeure, including events such as the destruction and damage of the Holiday Property through fire, flood, explosion, storm or weather damage or adverse weather conditions, neighbouring building works, burglary, criminal damage, riot or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, non-availability of public transport, destruction/interruption of utility services, epidemic, temporary invasion by pests and/or similar situations beyond the control of the Owner, either before the Commencement Date or during the Holiday Period.

Vehicles

Off road Parking is provided for a maximum of two vehicles.  Vehicles are parked and left at the Holiday Property entirely at your own risk.

​

Water Supply

The property has a private bore hole supply of spring water which is tested annually.  Outrun Nook Barn cannot be held liable for any disruption to service to the water supply due to power cut or in the unlikely event a technical problem occurs or adverse weather conditions.

Refuse Collection

You are required to put refuse in the black wheelie bin located in the car park to await collection and recycling in the wooden cabinet in the back garden of the barn in accordance with the instructions left at the Holiday Property.
